Safran to Develop Advanced Landing Gear System for Bell’s Tiltrotor, the US Army’s Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft

Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in landing gear systems, has been selected to collaborate on Bell’s tiltrotor aircraft program, a crucial component of the US Army’s Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) initiative.

 

Under the terms of the contract, Safran Landing Systems will lead the design and development of a fully integrated landing system. This collaborative effort will establish a robust foundation to meet all future operational requirements of the FLRAA.

 

The US Army’s choice of Bell for the FLRAA program was announced in late 2022.
