Rear Admiral CR Praveen Nair Assumes Command as Flag Officer Commanding Western Fleet in Indian Navy

In a ceremonial naval parade at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai, Rear Admiral CR Praveen Nair, NM, took charge as the Flag Officer Commanding Western Fleet, succeeding Rear Admiral Vineet McCarty. Rear Admiral Nair, commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1991, is an alumnus of the Naval Academy, Goa, and has diverse experience, including command roles on INS Kirch, INS Vikramaditya, and the guided missile destroyer INS Chennai. His expertise spans communication, electronic warfare, and strategic planning, contributing to the leadership of the Western Fleet.
