MBDA and Poland sign landmark NAREW project
MBDA has recently concluded an agreement with Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (PGZ) to provide support for PGZ’s delivery of the NAREW air defence programme for the Polish Armed Forces.
NAREW aims to equip Poland with a highly advanced mobile air defence system capable of handling modern and future threats at ranges beyond 40 km, utilizing the CAMM-ER missile developed in collaboration between the UK and Italy. The PGZ-NAREW Consortium secured the executive contracts for NAREW in September from the Polish Armament Agency.
This recent agreement empowers PGZ to implement these executive contracts, valued at over £4 billion, by finalizing the terms of MBDA’s groundbreaking transfer of key technologies and knowledge to PGZ. It allows the PGZ-NAREW Consortium to manufacture over 1,000 CAMM-ER air defence missiles and more than 100 launchers for the NAREW programme in Poland.
NAREW underscores the growing relationship between MBDA and PGZ, providing further proof of the success of the Strategic Co-operation Agreement signed
