Rolls-Royce Achieves Full Power Run for UltraFan Technology Demonstrator

Rolls-Royce has successfully conducted a full-power run of its UltraFan technology demonstrator at its facility in Derby, UK. This milestone, achieved with 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), marks significant progress in the development of UltraFan, a next-generation aero-engine. The UltraFan demonstrator, which has already shown promising results in previous tests, aims to deliver a 10% efficiency improvement over Rolls-Royce’s Trent XWB engine, currently recognized as the world’s most efficient large aero-engine.
