IAF Continues Relief Operations in Flood-Affected States

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has been actively engaged in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana to address the ongoing flood situation. Over the past 48 hours, a total of 40 sorties have been conducted, resulting in the rescue of 126 individuals and the distribution of 17 tons of relief materials to various affected areas.

In the most recent 24-hour period, significant operations were carried out in flood-affected regions of Haryana. Villages including Nihara, Allaudin Majra, Bishangarh, Segta, Bhunni, Mumni, Segti, and Jansui received essential relief supplies such as rations, tarpaulin sheets, fresh food, and water bottles, delivered by M-17 helicopters.

The IAF’s dedicated Airwarriors and the necessary assets, including M-17 and Chinook helicopters, as well as An-32 and C-130 transport aircraft, remain on standby, ready to undertake any required operations to support relief efforts.
