Tata Boeing Aerospace Milestone: 250 AH-64 Apache Fuselages Delivered From India
Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL) proudly announces the delivery of its 250th AH-64 Apache attack helicopter fuselage from its cutting-edge facility in Hyderabad. These crucial components are engineered for global customers, including the esteemed U.S. Army and notably, the Indian Army’s recent order for six such fuselages. This achievement stands as a testament to TBAL’s unwavering commitment to fortifying India’s defence capabilities while advancing indigenous manufacturing prowess.
The joint venture, a collaboration between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), harnesses the expertise of over 900 skilled engineers and technicians. The manufacturing processes are powered by cutting-edge robotics, automation, and the application of advanced aerospace concepts, underscoring TBAL’s dedication to delivering excellence.
Spanning an impressive 14,000 sqm, TBAL’s facility stands as a global beacon, serving as the primary source supplier for Apache fuselages worldwide. Remarkably, over 90 percent of the components constituting the Apache aerostructure assemblies are produced within India, a commendable feat achieved through collaboration with more than 100 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) suppliers.
This milestone is a testament to TBAL’s unwavering commitment to fostering indigenous manufacturing capabilities, contributing significantly to India’s defence sector and positioning the nation as a formidable force in the global aerospace arena.
