Heritage Aviation Boosts Regional Connectivity with Airbus Helicopters Under UDAN Scheme
*Hyderabad, 18 January 2024:* Heritage Aviation, a prominent aircraft charter company based in India, has placed an order for Airbus H125 and H130 helicopters to operate under the Government of India’s regional connectivity scheme, ‘Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN). This strategic move is set to enhance air connectivity to remote locations and contribute to the growth of the Indian tourism sector.
Rohit Mathur, CEO of Heritage Aviation, expressed gratitude for the streamlined norms for helicopters in the UDAN scheme, stating, “UDAN scheme is a sure shot game-changer and is proving to be a turning point for helicopters in India. The H125, a single-engine helicopter renowned for its performance, versatility, and low maintenance, is part of Airbus’ Ecureuil family, accumulating 38 million flight hours worldwide. The H130, also a single-engine helicopter, is widely used for sightseeing services, charter operations, and emergency medical services, featuring a spacious cabin for a pilot and up to seven passengers.
