Rolls-Royce Strengthens Defence Manufacturing in India Through Partnership with Azad Engineering
Rolls-Royce, a global leader in aerospace and defence technology, has formalized a long-term agreement with Azad Engineering, a prominent Hyderabad-based firm, for the manufacturing and supply of complex components essential for defence aircraft engines. This strategic collaboration positions Azad Engineering within the global supply chain for complex category components required for Rolls-Royce’s advanced aero engines.
Alex Zino, Executive Vice President – Business Development and Future Programmes, and Head of Global Networks at Rolls-Royce, expressed the significance of collaboration in the company’s success in India, stating, “Strong collaboration has been at the heart of Rolls-Royce’s journey of success in India. As we work towards strengthening the defence ecosystem, we are happy to expand our supply chain in India in partnership with Azad Engineering. The sourcing of complex components from India for aero engine programmes further advances the goal of capability creation in the country.”
