REX MK II Awarded Best Scientific Solution in the European Land Robot Trial

The REX MKII multi-mission unmanned land vehicle system, developed by FTS, a joint venture between Germany’s FFG and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), has been recognised as the Best Scientific Solution in the European Land Robot Trial (ELROB). The award highlights the system’s exceptional performance in off-road autonomous driving within challenging environments and scenarios.

The REX MKII system is designed to support ground forces while minimising the risk to human life. It is adaptable to a wide range of ground missions, featuring advanced manoeuvrability and the capability to carry a load of 1.3 tons. This versatility enables the system to assist combat forces in various roles, including intelligence gathering, logistical support, and command-and-control operations. It can be operated remotely via wireless communication by a single operator.

The award was presented during the ELROB demonstration held in Trier, Germany, where the REX MKII successfully met the demanding scenarios set by the German Armed Forces. The event attracted significant interest from military personnel across NATO countries, showcasing the system’s advanced capabilities and reliability in complex operational conditions.

The REX MKII’s success at ELROB underscores its effectiveness and readiness for operational deployment worldwide, reaffirming its status as a leading solution in unmanned land vehicle technology.
