Rajnath Singh Visits Kochi, Reviews Progress of First Indigenous IAC

On June 25, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the progress of construction of first Indigenous Aircraft Carrier at Kochi. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh was present at the site.

Rajnath Singh later visited the exhibition showcasing Indian Navy’s innovations, indigenisation and operations in the fight against COVID-19, at Kochi on June 25, 2021.

He addressed the officers and sailors of Indian Navy after reviewing the progress of construction of first Indigenous Aircraft Carrier at Kochi on June 25, 2021.




He interacted with officers and sailors over lunch, traditionally called ‘Barakhana’, after reviewing the progress of construction of first Indigenous Aircraft Carrier at Kochi on June 25.

During his visit, he interacted with the 10-year-old Veer Kashyap, a student of Navy Children School Kochi who won Pradhan Mantri Bal Puraskar 2021 for developing an innovative board game ‘Corona Yuga’.
