KNDS Provides Cutting-edge Simulators for Swedish Armed Forces

In a significant development for the Swedish armed forces, Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co. KG (KNDS) is set to provide the latest generation of cutting-edge simulators for LEOPARD  2 training. This milestone agreement inked between the Swedish Procurement Office (FMV) and KNDS, entails the delivery of 18 high-fidelity simulators.

The simulators, comprising turret and driving modules, will enable comprehensive training scenarios at the Land Warfare Center in Skövde. Additionally, the training capability extends to company and platoon levels, as well as at the vehicle level, across three more sites in Sweden.

Utilizing advanced software and hardware, these training systems incorporate several key features. Notably, they offer fully functional integration of the loader position through a weapons simulator, along with an over-the-hatch vision system solution for the commander. Moreover, the integration of the Swedish C2 Mark management system further enhances the system’s capabilities.

It’s noteworthy that the Swedish armed forces have a longstanding relationship with Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co. KG, spanning 25 years of utilizing simulation technology.
This agreement underscores KNDS's commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions to enhance the training capabilities of armed forces worldwide.
