Israel Aerospace Industries Launches AeroSpace Services India (ASI) in New Delhi

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), a globally renowned aerospace and defence company, has inaugurated AeroSpace Services India (ASI), its Indian subsidiary in New Delhi. The establishment of ASI underscores IAI’s commitment to supporting the Indian government’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” – MAKE IN INDIA vision, as well as reinforcing its strong partnership with India in the defence sector.

ASI operates in Indian Rupees and serves as the sole authorized Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) Technical Representative for the entire Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) system. MRSAM, an advanced air and missile defence system, offers comprehensive protection against various aerial threats and is deployed by the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy. Developed jointly by IAI and DRDO, MRSAM comprises advanced components such as phased array radar, command and control systems, mobile launchers, and interceptors with advanced RF seeker technology.

Boaz Levy, President and CEO of IAI, expressed pride in presenting ASI as a significant milestone towards India's self-reliance vision, emphasizing the historic collaboration between India and Israel in the defence sector. He highlighted the potential of combining IAI’s technology with India’s talent and expertise to achieve self-reliance in defence.

Danny Lauber, CEO of Aerospace Services India (ASI), highlighted the close collaboration between IAI and its Indian partners over the past three decades. The establishment of ASI aims to further strengthen this collaboration and enhance service delivery to customers.

ASI employs approximately 50 professionals, with 97% being Indian nationals, reflecting its commitment to local talent development. Headquartered in Delhi, ASI’s strategically located branches ensure nationwide coverage and customer satisfaction. With its localized operations, ASI aims to expedite repairs and service operations, providing swift and efficient support to its customers while also reducing costs and delivering tangible benefits.

The launch of ASI marks a significant step towards bolstering India-Israel cooperation in the defence sector and underscores IAI’s commitment to supporting India’s defence modernization efforts.
