INS KABRA Successfully Arrives in Colombo, Sri Lanka

Colombo, Sri Lanka, January 8, 2024: The Indian Navy’s Fast Attack Craft, INS Kabra, made a significant arrival at Colombo, Sri Lanka, on January 8, 2024, and was warmly welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy. The port call, aimed at fostering bilateral cooperation, saw the Commanding Officer of INS Kabra engage in discussions with Commander, Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral TSK Perera.

 

During a formal presentation ceremony, essential spares and stores intended for the Sri Lanka Navy and Air Force were handed over by INS Kabra. This gesture further solidifies the existing strong ties and camaraderie between the two Navies, aligning with the vision of SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) as envisioned by the Prime Minister.

 

The visit not only serves as a diplomatic and operational interaction between the naval forces of India and Sri Lanka but also emphasizes the commitment to regional security and cooperation. Such exchanges contribute to the enhancement of maritime capabilities, mutual understanding, and friendship between the two nations.
