Indian Naval Officer’s Achievement in Ironman Triathlon, Kazakhstan

The Indian Navy proudly congratulates Lt Cdr Ujjwal Choudhary from Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam for completing the ‘Ironman Triathlon’ in Kazakhstan on 2nd July 2023. He achieved an impressive 5th position in his age group, finishing with a time of 11 hours and 4 minutes. Lt Cdr Ujjwal Choudhary has also qualified for the world championship, which will be held in France.

The triathlon race comprised a challenging course, including a 3.8 km swim, 180 km cycling, and 42.2 km running. With approximately 400 participants from around the world, Lt Cdr Ujjwal Choudhary emerged as the fastest Indian athlete to complete the race among the 50 Indian participants.

The Indian Navy commends Lt Cdr Ujjwal Choudhary for his remarkable accomplishment and wishes him continued success in his future endeavours.
