India and US to Conduct Bilateral Tri-Service HADR Exercise: Tiger Triumph – 24
In alignment with the enduring partnership between India and the US, Tiger Triumph – 24, a bilateral Tri-Service Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Exercise, is slated to take place on the Eastern Seaboard from March 18 to March 31, 2024. Indian Navy Ships, equipped with integral helicopters and landing crafts, Indian Navy aircraft, Indian Army personnel and vehicles, and Indian Air Force aircraft and helicopters, alongside the Rapid Action Medical Team (RAMT), will actively participate in the exercise. Representing the US will be US Navy Ships, carrying troops from the US Marine Corps and US Army. The primary objective of the exercise is to enhance interoperability for conducting HADR operations and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to facilitate swift and efficient coordination between the forces of both nations.
The Harbour Phase, scheduled from March 18 to March 25, 2024, will witness the participation of personnel from both navies in Training Visits, Subject Matter Expert Exchanges, Sports Events, and Social interactions. Following the conclusion of the Harbour Phase, the ships, with embarked troops, will set sail for the Sea Phase, engaging in Maritime, Amphibious, and HADR operations as per simulated scenarios injected into the exercise.
