BEL and Gabriel Power Partner to Boost Indigenous Power & Energy Technologies in India
BEL and Gabriel Power and Energy Pvt Ltd have joined forces through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate as partners and develop cutting-edge technologies in India for the power and energy sectors. The strategic alliance aims to bolster the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative and support the Government’s vision of a Digital India. By emphasizing indigenous manufacturing, the partnership seeks to enhance India’s capabilities in the power and energy domain and establish the country as a leading global manufacturing hub for advanced solutions in these sectors. The collaboration is expected to create significant employment opportunities within the power and energy industries.
Under the MoU, BEL, and Gabriel will work closely together to introduce state-of-the-art technologies that will be further optimized and manufactured in India. The collaboration will encompass a wide range of products, including Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers, Smart Meters, Green Hydrogen Generation, Hydrogen Gensets, and Solar Steam Solutions.
BEL, a Navratna Defence PSU, is renowned for its expertise in research, design, development, and production across multiple segments. The company specializes in manufacturing Defence electronic products and systems, covering areas such as Radars & Weapon Systems, Communication Systems, Electronic Warfare Systems, C4I Systems, and Electro-Optic Systems, among others. With a robust manufacturing infrastructure and a strong focus on research and development, BEL brings extensive capabilities to the partnership.
On the other hand, Gabriel Power and Energy Pvt Ltd, supported by various Global Funds and international partnerships, possesses cutting-edge technologies for EV Chargers, Smart Meters, Solar PV Panels, Solar Steam, Hydrogen Gensets, and Hydrogen Fuel Cells. The company plans to introduce these advanced technologies to India, collaborating with BEL under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, and subsequently, sell the products in India, Asia, Middle East, and Africa.
