Rajasthan Government and SVP International Group Sign Defence MoU Among Others

Rajasthan Government and SVP International Group on Wednesday, 2 September, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of facilities related to the Aviation, Defence and Textile sectors. Investment of Rs. 4000 crore is estimated from these projects and the same would generate employment for more than 4000 people.

Earlier on Wednesday, the company representatives made a presentation at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot wherein Industries Minister Prasadi Lal Meena, state minister for Industries Arjun Singh Bamaniya, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Finance, Principal Secretary Industries, and other senior officials were present. During the presentation, the company proposed to develop a project for Defence and Aerospace including Aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities, an Aviation Academy and a project related to textile. The projects are proposed to be developed at a mutually agreed location in the state.




The state government has directed for constitution of a committee under the Chairmanship of Principal Secretary Industries for speedy implementation of the projects. The committee would have Commissioner, Investment and NRIs as Member Secretary and will have Managing Director RIICO, concerned District Collectors and Magistrates, Director Civil Aviation, special invitees and invitee from the SVP group as members.
