Major General Alok Raj, AVSM Takes Over as ADG, NCC Maharashtra

In his last appointment as the Chief Project Coordinator, he oversaw the setting up and commissioning of the ‘National War Memorial and Museum’ in New Delhi

Maj. Gen. Alok Raj, AVSM assumed the appointment of Additional Director General of NCC Maharashtra on 6 March 2020.  Commissioned in the SIKH LI Regiment in June 1983, he has commanded an infantry battalion during Operation PARAKRAM and Operation MEGHDOOT, a Brigade in Army’s Southern Command and a Division in Eastern Theatre. In his last appointment as the Chief Project Coordinator, he oversaw the setting up and commissioning of the ‘National War Memorial and Museum’ in New Delhi.   He has also been awarded ‘Ati Vishisht Seva Medal’ for his distinguished service in Jan 2019.




According to the press statement issued by the Ministry of Defence, “the General has vast military experience of commanding active Army formations in border areas. Under his leadership, NCC Maharashtra is poised to be amongst the best in country and contribute immensely towards nation building.”
