IAF Pulls Out of Cobra Multilateral Exercise to be Held in the UK

After three days after it announced its participation in the Ex-Cobra Warrior 22 at Waddington, UK from 6 to 27 March 2022, the Indian Air Force (IAF) on 26 February decided against it. The announcement came on 26 February 2022 from the IAF’s Twitter handle.

Without mentioning Russia’s military attack in Ukraine, the force tweeted, “In light of the recent events, #IAF has decided not to deploy its aircraft for Exercise Cobra Warrior 2022 in UK.”

In a press release, the IAF had stated that five Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas would participate in the exercise along with fighter aircraft of the UK and other leading Air Forces for Cobra multilateral exercise.
