Bharat Electronics Secures Orders Worth Rs. 3,289 Crores for Defence and Non-Defence Technologies

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a distinguished Navratna Defence PSU, has marked its prowess with a recent surge in new orders. Valued at an impressive Rs. 3,289 Crores, these orders were secured during the months of July and August 2023. The scope of these orders spans both Defence and non-Defence domains, encompassing a diverse array of critical technologies. Notable items in this comprehensive order include Low Level Light Weight Radars, SONARS, IFF Systems, SATCOM Systems, EO/IR Payloads, TRM/DTRMs, Jammers, Encryptors, Data Link Systems, Fire Control Systems, Radars for Directed Energy Systems, Semi Rugged Telephone Exchanges, Software Defined Radios, Electronic Voting Machines, and various other types of radios.

 

The order repertoire also encompasses After Sales Service, Maintenance Contracts, and Spares. Particularly noteworthy is the Letter of Intent (LoI) or order worth Rs. 1,075 Crores, freshly inked with Hindustan Shipyards Limited. This collaboration encompasses the supply of essential systems such as CMS, Communication Systems, EW Systems, and other sensors for Fleet Support Ships. This latest accomplishment is an augmentation to the existing orders worth Rs. 8,091 Crores, positioning BEL’s aggregate order book for the fiscal year 2023-24 at a commendable Rs. 11,380 Crores.
