KNDS to Become the Main European Provider of Military Robots

At EUROSATORY 2024, KNDS is proud to announce its position as the leading European provider of military robots. The company showcased a range of cutting-edge unmanned systems, including the demonstration of remote operation of the main battle tank chassis, and unveiled the new CENTURIO combat robots and modular UGV solutions in collaboration with MILREM Robotics.

Innovative Robotic Solutions:

  • CENTURIO Combat Robots: KNDS introduced the new CENTURIO multipurpose tactical robots, designed to meet various military needs. This range includes a combat version equipped with a 30mm ARX 30, an explosive ordnance reconnaissance version, and a CBRN detection version. Additionally, KNDS offers heavy-duty solutions such as the ULTRO carrier robot and the OPTIO tracked combat robot.
  • NERVA Patrol Robot: The field-proven NERVA patrol robot is currently deployed at the Eurosatory 2024 exhibition for night-time security, highlighting its effectiveness in real-world scenarios.
  • Remote Operation and Modularity: KNDS demonstrated a Medium-Forces-Mission-Solution featuring manned/unmanned teamed systems with advanced data management and sensor-to-shooter technologies. The company’s robots are characterized by their modularity, allowing them to meet diverse operational requirements.
  • Advanced Communication Systems: Successful tests were conducted on long-range secured communication between ground operators and platforms. Radio links achieved 7km in open fields and 80m within a ship during tests with the French Navy. For the LARINAE loitering ammunition program, secured radio links extended up to 80km.
  • Engineering and Autonomous Robots: KNDS has showcased remote-piloted bridge-laying systems and the CENTURIO robot’s success in an explosive ordnance reconnaissance mission with out-of-sight piloting. The ULTRO robot demonstrated robust autonomous capabilities, using artificial intelligence to navigate roads, forest paths, daymarks, soldiers, and vehicles.
