Ahir Inaugurates International Institute of Security and Safety Management Conclave

MoS Home, Hansraj Ahir says training, capacity building integral parts of security.

Inaugurating a conclave of International Institute of Security and Safety Management Conclave in New Delhi, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Hansraj Ahir, encouraged synergy between public and private sector for better safety and security of the country.




“Security sector is facing new challenges that need to be tackled with better and efficient knowledge management, techniques, creativity and innovation”, said Ahir. He exhorted public and private security agencies, Intelligence agencies, CAPFs and Security Forces to learn new technological security knowhow. He also emphasised on the need to upgrade the traditional training on security to high-technology driven modern practical approach. He further said that industry, academia and government sector need to collaborate for better coordination and developing and learning best practices for addressing security and safety challenges.

Underlining the need for Research and Development (R&D) and for enhancing the security standards of the existing infrastructure, he urged the stakeholders to invest in research and development.
