Turkish Airlines offers a free layover service to all its international transit passengers who fly through Istanbul with a 6-24 hour layover

If you are an international transit Turkish Airlines passenger flying through Istanbul with a 6-24 hour layover, you no longer have to spend time at airport waiting to catch your connecting flight.   Instead, you can now avail free services including transfers, access to historical sights of interest as well enjoying Turkey’s famed cuisine.

Under ‘Touristanbul’, as the offer is called, the airline conducts tours which depart daily from the Hotel Desk at Istanbul Atatürk Airport and include a combination of some Istanbul’s highlights such as Topkapı Palace, Sultan Ahmet Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Galata Tower, Dolmabahce Palace and other places. After the tour, the passengers are taken back to the airport.

“With its customary Turkish hospitality, Turkish Airlines takes pride in curating a delightfully different experience for its passengers and going beyond expectations with its array of unique products and services,” Turkish Airlines said in a statement. “Since its launch in 2009, touristanbul has already benefitted almost a quarter of a million passengers who were able to enjoy the taste of Istanbul.”
