BEL Pays Rs 262 crore Interim Dividend to Government

Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has paid an interim dividend of Rs 2,62,29,12,635.20/- (Rs Two hundred and sixty two crores twenty nine lakhs twelve thousand six hundred thirty five and twenty paise only) to the government of India for the year 2017-18.

CMD, BEL M.V. Gowtama presented the interim dividend cheque to the defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman on March 15. BEL has declared 160 per cent interim dividend (Rs1.60/ per share) to its shareholders for the year 2017-18.

This is the 14th consecutive year that BEL is paying interim dividend. The company has paid a total dividend of 225 per cent on its paid-up capital for the year 2016-17.
