“Today all Operators of the Bell 412, Eurocopter Dauphin and ALH Dhruv in India Have Signed Up With HATSOFF”

CEO HATSOFF, Maj. Gen. Ajit Gadre (retd)

What are the latest developments that have taken place at HATSOFF since you have taken over?
Our immediate strategy was to establish contact with our existing and potential customers. After protracted interaction, today we can proudly say that all operators of Bell 412/212, Eurocopter Dauphin and Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) in India have signed up with HATSOFF. After capturing the domestic market we turned our focus to the operators of Bell 412 and Dauphin outside India and have looked at Sri Lanka and Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia and Thailand who are flying sizeable numbers of Bell 412 helicopters. We are confident that by next year we would be able to capture at least 50 per cent of the training market that exists in those countries. This would be a tremendous beginning for HATSOFF.

We have had discussion with various helicopter manufacturers such as Bell, AgustaWestland, Eurocopter and Russian helicopters. As per the revised offset policy of Department of Defence Production (DPP) 2011, training on simulators has also been included as part of the offset. Hence, these companies are very keen to partner with us as they are very impressed with our training facility. We are also working very closely with Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for appropriate regulations for simulator training.
